TT: Manika Batra's singles campaign ends with loss to Hirano

Manika Batra’s impressive performance at the Paris Olympics ended in a 1-4 loss to Japan’s Miu Hirano in the pre-quarterfinals of the women’s singles. Batra, who had earlier defeated France’s world number 18 Prithika Pavade, became the first Indian to reach the round of 16 at the Olympics in table tennis.
