Schaghticoke man arrested on fentanyl, cocaine charges

The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of a Schaghticoke man following a drug investigation.

SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of a Schaghticoke man following a drug investigation. Tyler Pace, 32, is facing numerous charges.

The Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at Pace's apartment on Main Street in Schaghticoke on July 19 in connection to a longstanding investigation. During the search, deputies recovered a combined two and a half ounces of fentanyl and cocaine, two explosive devices, packaging materials, scales, and cash.

Pace was then taken into custody without incident. He now faces the following charges:

  • Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Third-degree possession of a weapon - explosive device
  • First-degree criminal contempt
  • Criminal use of drug paraphernalia

Pace was arraigned at the Schaghticoke Town Court before being remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail. He is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
