Who was Raheel Ahmad from ITV2’s TikTok: Murder Gone Viral?

Who was Raheel Ahmad?

Raheel dated Sania for five years before they eventually decided to get married in June 2021.

Sania’s friends said that Raheel would have mental breakdowns and threaten to kill himself.

Sania filed for divorce just months later in December 2021, before Ahmad left Chicago for Alpharetta, Georgia.

Sharing her experience with divorce on TikTok, Sania found herself with a growing online following.

She often talked about the taboo of divorce and abuse in the South Asian community.

What did Raheel Ahmad do to Sania Khan?

In July 2022, just a month before the divorce was set to be finalised, Raheel travelled from Georgia to Chicago.

One of his relatives reported him missing to the Alpharetta police, who contacted the Chicago police force.

Raheel was found to have shot Sania in the back of the head at their home in Chicago.

Sania’s funeral was held shortly after on July 28, 2022.

A GoFundMe campaign had been launched to help fund the funeral and it raised $36,000.

What happened to Raheed Ahmad?

Raheel was found with a gun and a suicide note on his person, at the ex-couple’s Chicago home.

He also had a head wound from an attempted suicide.

Later, he was pronounced dead at Northwester Hospital.

The harrowing episode will be aired at 9pm on the 31 July 2024 or they can stream it on ITVX.
