This Guy Had the Time of His Life at the Kamala Rally

On Tuesday, Kamala Harris drew a 10,000-person crowd in Atlanta for her campaign’s largest rally yet. Between performances from Megan Thee Stallion and Quavo (the latter of whom also gave a moving speech about Harris’s commitment to gun control), Harris claimed Trump “does not walk it like he talks it” and challenged the former president to “say it to my face.” On top of charging up her campaign for the long road ahead, the rally provided further proof that Harris is well on her way to locking in the liberal white-man vote, thanks to one floppy-haired guy in a button-down who was filmed passionately partaking in a round of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

Coming on the back of the widely mocked (but well-intentioned) “White Dudes for Kamala” Zoom, this footage is not entirely surprising. Commenters swiftly identified this lover of politics and popular music as Parker Short, a graduate student in public policy at Duke University and the president of Young Democrats of Georgia. Parker proudly confirmed his presence at the rally with an Instagram carousel recapping his evening, complete with the caption, “WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP Yall better vote.” The vibes, you must admit, are incredible.
