Lionel Boyce (‘The Bear’): 2024 Emmys episode submission revealed
Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Lionel Boyce is entering “The Bear” episode titled “Honeydew” as his 2024 Emmy Award submission for Best Comedy Supporting Actor. “Honeydew” streamed on June 22, 2023 and is the fourth episode of the FX show’s second season.
In this installment, Boyce’s character Marcus Brooks learns he has to create three high-end desserts for the new restaurant, so he leaves his ailing mother behind and travels to Copenhagen. That’s where Marcus meets Luca (Will Poulter), a young pastry chef who teaches him valuable lessons about balancing his life both inside and outside of the kitchen.
This year marks the first career Emmy nomination for Boyce. For this 2024 Emmys contest, he is competing against Paul W. Downs (“Hacks”), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear”), Paul Rudd (“Only Murders in the Building”), Tyler James Williams (“Abbott Elementary”) and Bowen Yang (“Saturday Night Live”).
