Downtown Topeka Ta Co. opening date announced

A new Mexican restaurant is opening soon in Topeka.

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Topekans will soon be able to enjoy margaritas on tap and Mexican-style food in the downtown area at a brand-new three-story restaurant.

27 News checked back in with AIM Strategies, LLC this week to find out how the new Ta Co. location on Kansas Avenue is coming along. Yolanda Uhl, marketing director with AIM, said the official opening date for the restaurant will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024.

The business will open daily at 11 a.m. moving forward with an official ribbon-cutting date also in the works. Uhl said their focus is "100% on the new location" when asked about what her company's plans were for the former Ta Co. pop-up spot at West Ridge Mall.

"Our staff is working hard to get things ready!" Uhl said. "We welcome everyone to come out and visit us!"

27 News recently visited Ta Co. for an inside look at the restaurant on July 10. Once open, it will offer margaritas on tap, rice bowls, burritos, tacos and high-end cocktails.

Ta Co.’s downtown address is at 735 South Kansas Avenue. AIM Strategies, LLC is owned by Cody Foster, one of the founders of Advisors Excel.
