Today’s weather: 40 degrees, rain in the mountains

Temperatures on Thursday are set to reach a whopping 40 degrees Celsius inland, with temperatures on the southeast and east coasts, 34 degrees Celsius on the north coast, 33 degrees Celsius on the west coast, and 30 degrees Celsius in the mountains.

Skies will be clear for the most part, but clouds are expected to develop in the mountains, with the possibility of rain or even isolated storms.

Overnight, clear skies will continue, with temperatures set to drop to 26 degrees Celsius inland, 23 degrees Celsius on the southwest coast, 24 degrees Celsius on the rest of the coasts, and 21 degrees Celsius in the mountains.

Change is expected on Friday, with strong westerly winds and a slight drop in temperature forecast, though clear skies are expected to continue through most of Friday and the weekend.

Temperatures will rise again on Sunday as summer carries on.
