PlayStation fans can grab an 88-rated hidden gem for free – plus two more games from popular franchises

PLAYSTATION has just announced three more games that online players can pick up for absolutely nothing.

New games are added to PlayStation’s subscription service, PS Plus, every month, but August’s offerings are particularly good.

All three new games are being added to the cheapest tier of the service, PS Plus Essential.

The Essential tier is mostly for those who want to play online, but they also gain access to three new free games every month.

Those subscribed to the higher tiers, PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium, will also be able to claim these three games.

This month Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights will be joining PS Plus Essential and it’s considered a hidden gem by indie fans.

Ender Lilies is a challenging 2D metroidvania that has been praised for its dark mood, fun exploration, and challenging fights.

Both fans and critics love the game, as it is sitting on a massive 88 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic, with a matching 8.4 user score.

Ender Lilies is joined this month by two games from huge franchises.

The first is Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which is considered one of the best games in the Lego video game series.

The Skywalker Saga is a collection of different Lego stories and allows you to play through all nine mainline Star Wars films.

It has an 82 rating on Metacritic, and is praised by fans for being a great family-friendly game as you can play with others in co-op mode.

The final game coming to PS Plus Essential this month is Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach.

While the mainline FNAF games see you locked in the security room, in Security Breach you go out and explore the restaurant.

It’s not as highly praised as other games from the FNAF series, but is still popular with FNAF fans.

All three games will be available via PS Plus Essential from Tuesday, August 6, 2024, which is the same day that July’s games will be removed from the service.

Borderlands 3, NHL 24, and Among Us are the PS Plus Essential games for July, and will leave the service on this day, so you’ll need to pick them up before then, if you want to keep them.
