Team GB star breaks down in tears live on BBC after she is DISQUALIFIED from Paris Olympics

DEVASTATED Emma Reid’s Paris 2024 medal hopes are over after she lost to South Korea’s Yoon Hyun-ji in the first round of the judo -78kg event.

Reid, 29, broke down in years while being interviewed by the BBC after being disqualified following three penalties.

Following her exit, Reid was asked about why Team GB’s judo stars have “under-performed” at this summer’s Games.

After it was suggested that their preparation may not have been right, she said: “I think we had a really good preparation.

“We were at home, we went away for a camp. I just think it’s tough – especially when a few of us, it’s our first Games.”
