Heathrow security gates blocked by eco-idiots in plot to ruin holidays after Gatwick targeted

ECO idiots this morning tried to block off the security gates at Heathrow Airport in their third attempt to cause chaos for Brit holidaymakers.

Just Stop Oil protestors could be seen holding their bright orange signs, trying to form a line in front of the departure gates at the busy London airport.

There appeared to be a backlog of unhappy families waiting to get past.

The eco idiots then planted themselves on the ground in front of the gates.

It comes just days after the group sprayed orange paint all over Heathrow’s departure terminal – before being hauled away by police.

On Monday the group tried – and failed to – block off departure gates at Gatwick.

But instead of causing havoc, holidaymakers just stepped over the group.

On Tuesday the eco zealots painted Heathrow’s departure boards in orange paint at Heathrow, before planting themselves on the ground.

The activists also sprayed windows and floors with their orange paint in Heathrow Terminal 5’s departures area.

A pair of the eco zealots were then snapped sitting in front of the boards, before more photos showed the protesters being dragged away by security.

The day prior the group tried to halt passengers at Gatwick’s departure gates, but they merely stepped over them.

Eight people were then arrested on suspicion of interfering with public infrastructure.

It comes amid a campaign by the group to target airports and disrupt the holiday industry after steering its focus away from blocking roads.

Last week saw several Just Stop Oil members arrested in multiple countries in a crackdown on their holidays plot.

The eco-zealots had billed July 23 as an “international uprising” by seven groups under the banner “Oil Kills”.

But it ground to a halt after a series of police swoops.

In the aftermath, there were demands for authorities to throw the book at them to prevent a possible summer of chaos.

Other arrests came in Germany, Norway, FinlandSpainAustria and Switzerland.

The drama unfolded after Extinction Rebellion mastermind Roger Hallam and four others were earlier this month jailed for up to five years after The Sun exposed their campaign to block motorways in 2022.

It appeared to have been coordinated from the UK, with the press team behind Just Stop Oil pushing out a pre-planned release on behalf of the group.

The group named two of those arrested as Sally Davidson, a 36-year-old a hairdresser from Portland, Dorset, and Adam Beard, 55, a gardener from Stroud, Gloucestershire.

Two Just Stop Oil activists were found guilty of criminal damage last week after throwing soup over Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting.

Phoebe Plummer and Anna Holland, both aged 22, threw a can of Heinz tomato soup over the masterpiece at the National Gallery in London in October 2022.
