Police investigate armed robbery in Albany

Albany Police are investigating an armed robbery from Wednesday afternoon.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany Police are investigating an armed robbery from Wednesday afternoon. Police say it happened at Pearl Street Discount and Beauty located at 141 South Pearl Street.

Police responded to the business at around 1:55 p.m. and said they learned that a man entered the store and demanded cell phones. According to law enforcement, the suspect displayed a firearm and fired it once towards the victim before fleeing the scene.

There were no injuries reported during the incident. The investigation remains active and anyone with information is asked to contact the Albany Detective Division at (518) 462-8039.
