Nicosia citizens’ service centre to close

The citizens’ service centre on Makarios avenue in central Nicosia will close for good on September 6, the government announced on Thursday.

The move was marketed as a “merger” of the citizens’ service centre in question with the one in Engomi.

It has, however, not gone down well among local residents, with one exclaiming, “for God’s sake!” when informed by the Cyprus Mail about the news.

“That is outrageous! That’s the one we always use, and it’s always full,” the incensed local resident added.

Those wishing to make appointments with the citizens’ service centre in Engomi from September 9 onwards are urged to call 22309100.
