Cardi B files for divorce from Offset after seven years of marriage as she requests primary custody of their two kids
CARDI B has filed for divorce from her estranged husband Offset amid rumors the rapper is pregnant with their third child.
The rap star’s rep confirmed the news to Page Six on Wednesday that the couple have officially parted ways.
Though this isn’t the first time that Cardi, 31, has separated from her baby daddy, sources told the outlet that this time is final.
It was also reported that Cardi is seeking primary custody of their children: Kulture, five, and Wave, two.
Offset, 32, was previously accused of cheating on Cardi, however, insiders claimed that’s not the reason for the split.
“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do,” the source told Page Six.
The source also claimed that Offset wasn’t caught off guard by the divorce as they’ve “been trying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now.”
“It’s not something that happened overnight… They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger overtime. It’s become unavoidable,” the insider said.
RELATIONSHIP DOWNFALL
Cardi made their issues apparent in an interview in May, where she called their marriage “complicated.”
The New York native had also claimed to be single, despite her and Offset making numerous public appearances together in recent months.
Cardi initially filed for divorce in September 2020 after accusing Offset of cheating during their marriage, but later backtracked her claims.
In early July, the Bodak Yellow singer’s nemesis Bia alluded to Offset’s alleged infidelity in a dis track.
The rapper implied that the Atlanta native slept with another woman in the home he shares with Cardi.
Offset later denied the claims.
Cardi and the Migos rapper have been married since 2017.
The Grammy award winner is now focused on moving forward and leaving the past behind.

“She has no ill-will towards him,” a source told Page Six.
“She’s wishing him the best. She’s not going into this next season [of her life] with any beef or any drama. She wants everything to be very peaceful.”
The separation comes as rumors circulate that Cardi is expecting her third child, presumably with her estranged hubby.
Fans have grown suspicious of a possible pregnancy after noticing the mom of two seemingly trying to cover her stomach during recent outings.
She also appeared to sport a baby bump in an Instagram video she posted with her daughter last week.
Cardi hasn’t addressed the chatter about her supposed pregnancy.
