Brunch Reveals Its Latest Slipper, the Summer-Ready Amour Mesh Shoe
The slippers come in chalk, navy and taupe colorways.
Lifestyle brand Brunch has revealed its latest slipper, the Amour Mesh, a summer-friendly adaptation of the company’s Amour Core collection. Releasing on Thursday, Brunch describes the Amour Mesh as a shoe that “seamlessly blends sophistication with warm-weather functionality.”
The new slipper’s upper is made of suede and features a mesh underlay offering breathability in warm weather. The sole is unlined and water-resistant, made with Brunch’s contoured technology which allows for lasting arch support. Like the preceding Amour Core collection, the slipper includes an adjustable metal buckle and hand-sewn stitch detailing. The Amour Mesh is available for $120 and offered in three colorways: chalk, taupe and navy. Customers can purchase them online on Brunch’s website or at their retail outposts, Brunch Playhouse in Amagansett Square and Brunch Mountain Shop in Aspen.
The Amour Core debuted in October 2023 in collaboration with New York-based French bakery L’Appartement 4F, swiftly gaining a cult following. Emily Weiss, head of marketing at Brunch, told FN, “Amour Mesh is our response to the customer, an acknowledgment that ‘we hear you’ and will to continue to animate the lines that our customers have organically gravitated towards.”
Brunch is a New York-based brand that was founded in 2020 with the goal of creating a durable version of the comfortable hotel slipper. The company upholds the ethos that “every day should feel like a vacation.”
Weiss expanded on this idea and discussed the versatility of the Amour Mesh: “Our brand philosophy is to inject that ‘vacation energy’ into the every day. When brainstorming about summer vacation, there is nothing more leisurely than being able to wander from the beach to an al-fresco dinner without thought or worry of appearance. The spontaneity to enjoy oneself from sunrise to sunset was the inkling of inspiration for the shoe.”
