Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck Are Further Along in Their Split Than We Expected

For a few months now, rumors of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck‘s split have been swirling around. And while some pieces of evidence are enough to set off alarms, like Affleck’s recent purchase of a multi-million dollar “bachelor pad,” sources are now confirming that there’s little left to do before they officially call it off.

According to insider sources for Daily Mail, Lopez and Affleck’s divorce documents “are finalized, but not yet turned in.” In other words, it seems like fans of the couple, who have probably been denying the allegations the past few months, might want to finally hedge their bets and accept defeat. Lopez and Affleck’s second time around might be coming faster than we thought.

“They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them,” a source claimed.

In addition to having their papers all in order, they reportedly already have a PR plan about how to announce the news to the world too. “At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn’t,” the source added.

Speaking of not making it work, insiders hinted that their split was due to some things they just couldn’t see eye to eye on. “Honestly, in the end, they could not come to a compromise,” the source said. “What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it.”

Prior to the news of their filing, Lopez and Affleck’s real estate deals already indicated that things were going downhill.

In early July, they officially listed their Beverly Hills home together and at the steep price of $68 million. The 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom residence was privately on the market since the beginning of June, but failed to attract a buyer, per Page Six. They bought the home in May 2023 for $60.85 million cash, per TMZ, but will probably lose money on the sale due to improvements, Los Angeles’ mansion tax, and their broker’s fee.

Then, most recently, Affleck bought himself a Pacific Palisades mansion for $20.5 million, TMZ first reported. The home has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a den, walk-in closets, a media room, and a guest house, to name a few of the amenities.

If those deals are any indication, it seems Lopez and Affleck are really calling in quits for the second time. Now it’s reportedly only a matter of time…
