'Lay off on the race stuff': Truth Social turns on Trump as he shares Harris' 'Indian' pic

Former President Donald Trump enraged followers on the social media company he owns Thursday when he doubled down on attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris' racial identity.

Trump echoed on Truth Social claims that have infuriated conservatives and liberals alike that Harris, who is Black, should not identify as such.

"Thank you Kamala for the nice picture you sent from many years ago!" Trump wrote, along with a picture of Harris. "Your warmth, friendship, and love of your Indian Heritage are very much appreciated."

Trump's words infuriated followers on Truth Social who condemned his comment as racist and his decision to attack Harris on such terms as campaign suicide.

"Her father is Jamaican, you racist ghoul," wrote @BLMoreThanTroops. "Imagine being stupid enough to think THIS helps you with Black voters. That's the kind of nonsense only a 78-year-old racist would think."

"You’re a racist clown and you’re only making yourself look like more of an a--hole," wrote Truth Social user David R.

"Lay off on the race stuff," advised ExDemocrat. "Just focus on her policies."

"You are so stupid. lol. Do you have eyes?" asked @justmeguys. "You are going to get fired forever by women and the fact that she’s a woman of color makes it a SPECTACULAR win. Thank you for all you did for us yesterday."

Truth Social user Dr. X Luther took a jab at Trump's physical appearance.

"And then one day he just decided he was orange," he wrote, "it was weird."

On X, attorney Anthony Michael Kreis used the message to criticize Trump running mate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH).

"Vance sold a bit of his soul for power," he wrote on Thursday.
