Barcelona vs Real Madrid preview
Sparks could fly as LaLiga rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid clash at the MetLife Stadium this weekend.
It’s been billed as a friendly, but it’s never too cordial when the El Clasico pair go toe-to-toe in any encounter.
Real Madrid beat Barcelona in all there contests last season and have bolstered their ranks in extraordinary fashion with French superstar Kylian Mbappe.
However, Barcelona hold a rather strange record of having won 24 of their 42 friendlies and exhibition matches against Carlo Ancelotti’s side – including all three on US soil.
Real Madrid kick-started their pre-season campaign with a 1-0 defeat to AC Milan. Naturally that was without a host of first-team regulars.
It’s a similar story for new manager Hansi Flick at Barcelona. However, they managed to secure a 2-2 draw against Manchester City in Florida.
