Fight breaks out on The View over whether life was better under Trump

Republican New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu has been all over the map over who he will support in the 2024 presidential elections, but on Thursday a fight broke out when he suggested that life had been better under Donald Trump's leadership.

Speaking to "The View," Sununu — who had been a vocal Trump opponent as a Nikki Haley supporter — claimed that "a lot of people would tell you they could pay their bills then," meaning under Trump's presidency.

"And they would tell you that they didn't have the homelessness crisis then," Sununu continued. "The View" audience reacted with boos.

"Whoa!" co-host Joy Behar reacted.

"We had a crisis but not to the level we have," he stumbled.

"I'm just saying, other people might put those as priorities. So, just respect that. And we can have a disagreement."

But Behar fired back that Trump, "Wants to take certain rights away from people, from women, from Black people. What about seniors? And, to me, that is the one thing more American than we're hearing about inflation.
