One dead in Junction City I-70 crash

JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) - Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) troopers are responding to a two-vehicle crash near Junction City Thursday.

KHP Troop C posted to social media around 11:50 a.m. on August 1 of a crash involving a semi-truck and a motorcycle on I-70 in Geary County. The crash is in a part of the highway which has been under ongoing construction work.

At 1:05 p.m., KHP Trooper Ben Gardner reported on social media one person has died in the crash. Identification of the dead will be released once the victim's family has been notified.

The KHP warns drivers to expect delays at this time. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and be prepared to take alternate routes.
