Man life-flighted after being struck while riding e-bike in Manhattan

MANHATTAN (KSNT) - A 25-year-old man had to be life-flighted after being struck by a vehicle while riding an e-bike.

At 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31 the Riley County Police Department was called to respond to the corner of Osage and North Fifth Street for reports of an injury crash. When officers arrived they found the 25-year-old had been struck by a vehicle driven by an 83-year-old man.

The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was later life-flighted to a Topeka hospital.

The 83-year-old was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
