Pete Davidson back in mental health facility amid canceled stand-up gigs

Former “SNL” star Pete Davidson has checked himself back into a mental health facility after a series of his stand-up comedy gigs were canceled.

The “Bupkis” star, 30, reportedly scrapped eight different shows that had been scheduled over the next three months, TMZ reported Wednesday.

As of now, there are no details as to what prompted his return to rehab or whether it’s directly connected to his shows being canceled.

Earlier in the day, it was announced that Davidson had canceled gigs in Florida and New Jersey “due to scheduling conflicts.”

Sources close to the situation told People on Wednesday that Davidson would be focusing on his mental health at a wellness facility.

The comedian has been candid about his journey with PTSD and borderline personality disorder, both of which led him to enter rehab last summer.

Insiders at the time said mental health has always been a priority for Davidson, who has frequently sought professional help to address his issues and better himself.

The past year has been particularly busy for Davidson, as he performed a string of nearly 200 stand-up shows across the country, released his second Netflix special and worked on multiple film projects.

In March, he pulled the plug on season 2 of “Bupkis,” his semi-autobiographical Peacock series, saying at the time, “After nearly a decade of my personal life being in the media, I wanted a chance to tell my story my way.”

“I do also feel that this part of my life is finished,” he added. “I’m very excited for this next chapter and for you guys to see the work.”
