PARENTS are ecstatic after realising their kids can eat for free at Subway this summer holidays.
A woman took to Facebook to share the details as commentors expressed their delight saying: “How good is this?!”
Samantha posted a picture of her Subway purchase on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
She captioned it: “If anyone doesn’t know if you go to Subway you buy an adult meal you can get a kids meal for free, right bargain 2 meals and plus a kids meal come to £12.59.”
“Kids Eat Free” offer is back again for the summer holidays and it means families can claim its child’s meal as was the case during the Easter break.
The post alerting others to the deal has racked up more than 270 comments and 360 likes.
One person said: “How good is this,” while another added: “Great idea for companies to do this!”
“That’s a good deal,” said a third.
The offer will be running for four weeks from July 29 until August 25.
It includes a four inch Sub, a snack and a drink which usually costs £3.50 but you can only get it for nothing if you buy a full price Footlong Sub or SubMelt which normally costs from £7.39.
The offer is being launched at participating Subway branches nationwide, so check with staff before you order.
While the helping hand has been available during the Easter holidays, this is the first time it’s been extended to the summer – and parents have only just realised.
EMEA Brand and UK&I marketing director at Subway Kirstey Elston, said: “We’re so excited to be launching our Kids Eat Free offer again.
“By running for an even longer time throughout the summer break, our aim is to help families enjoy the holidays and spend quality time together, with less worry about the cost.
“To date, Subway®’s Kids Eat Free offer has helped feed over 57,000 families across the UK and Ireland.”
It comes as Subway tries to help families cope with the cost of living crisis and rising bills.
The Sun has also compiled a list of restaurants and cafes that allow kids to eat free, or cheaper.
It includes Morrisons, who are also offering free breakfasts over the holidays.
The supermarket has partnered with Kelloggs to launch breakfast clubs and will be giving out free bowls of cereal to families over the next three weeks.
Both adults and children can choose a bowl of cereal (either Coco Pops, Cornflakes or Rice Crispies) with the choice of dairy or dairy-free milk and a piece of fruit.
But be quick, the offer ends on August 4.
Meanwhile, family favourite restaurant, Bella Italia, is offering a deal when customers purchase an adult size dish, their kids can get a three course children’s meal and a drink for only £1.
And, at Asda cafes, kids eat for only £1 – with no minimum spend by the adult required.
Plus, Sainsbury’s shoppers can take kids to eat for a quid but parents have to buy a main meal at the cafe first.

Many energy forms offer grants to help cash-tight customers. The exact amount varies depending on your supplier and you circumstances, but could be as much a £2,000.
