Al Sharpton rips 'orange guy talking about Black jobs' at Sheila Jackson Lee memorial

Rev. Al Sharpton lashed out at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump at a celebration honoring the life of the late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (R-TX).

"Don't shame Sheila by leaving here and letting those that still have a bias and a bigotry run away unchecked and unaccounted," Sharpton told the congregation on Thursday. "Sheila would want you to stand up and fight back."

"I promise Sheila, we gonna fight every bigot and every racist, whether they're white, whether they're black, or whether they're orange," he added. "They got an orange guy running around talking about Black jobs."

At a debate with President Joe Biden in June, Trump argued that immigrants were taking "Black jobs."

The former president was asked about the remark while speaking to the National Association of Black Journalists on Thursday.

"A Black job is anybody that has a job," Trump told the group. "That's what it is."

Sharpton on Thursday made Trump a promise.

"We're gonna do a job on you in November."
