A 44-year-old man, Ajay Raghav, drowned in an open stormwater drain on Sohna road, Bhondsi, after stopping to relieve himself late Wednesday evening. Despite other areas having cement slab covers, the drain near Ghamroj toll plaza remained exposed due to flooding. His nephew, who was with him, alerted authorities, leading to the discovery of his body 400 meters away. The police have filed a case against the National Highways Authority of India for negligence, given their responsibility for maintaining the drain. This incident has raised concerns over the safety of such infrastructure.
