Three men were electrocuted near IFFCO Chowk metro station in Gurgaon after a low-tension wire snapped and fell on them during heavy rains. Devesh Bajpayee, Waseem Zama, and Jaipal Yadav were walking through a flooded footpath when a tree branch caused the overhead wire to break. Preliminary investigations indicated the wire supplied power to street lamps. The maintenance of streetlights had been outsourced to a private agency. The police registered a case under Section 106 for negligence and are investigating the incident further.
