Katie Price’s holidays from hell… including birth trauma, broken ankles & skiing disasters caused by ‘bum & boob filler’
KATIE Price loves a holiday more than most – racking up as many as 14 breaks last year.
But far from being relaxing getaways, the mum-of-five’s trips abroad always seem to be mired in scandals, controversy and unfortunate incidents.
This week, while on holiday in Turkey, news broke that an arrest warrant had been issued against her in her absence after she skipped a court appearance.
Katie is dealing with a £760,000 unpaid tax bill after being declared bankrupt for a second time in March.
But the former glamour model, 46, failed to turn up for a hearing and chose to fly off to Turkey with her boyfriend, JJ Slater, 31.
Judge Catherine Barton handed out the warrant, saying: “It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Ms Price’s arrest. She has no real excuse for failing to attend today’s hearing.”
Writing on Instagram, Katie insisted that she was not on the run and was filming a documentary.
She said: “I have to continue in my work in order to satisfy these bankruptcy orders which is all I am trying to do right now. I am however not running from matters and will continue to take matters with great seriousness.”
It was later revealed by The Sun that she is planning on having £10,000 worth of surgeries on her eyes and under her chin in Istanbul.
Here, we look at the times Katie’s dream holidays have turned into nightmares.
Emergency op
In 2013, a heavily pregnant Katie was left terrified when her waters broke prematurely at 32 weeks when she was on holiday in France with her then-husband, Kieran Hayler.
Doctors told her they had to perform an emergency caesarean section as her baby’s heart rate was dangerously low.
Explaining the horrific situation to The Sun, she said: “The next thing I know, a nurse is in my room saying: ‘Get ready now. You have five minutes to shower. You are having C-section soon.’
“I started panicking. I have a terrible fear of needles and I was dreading the epidural. I got in the shower in shock. I kept thinking ‘This will be my last shower before I have my fourth child.'”
She added: “Bringing life into the world is supposed to be magical. But what I went through was a nightmare.”
She marked the bittersweet occasion by naming her son Jett Riviera. He is now 11.
Cheating break
In 2019, Katie stirred up controversy when she was spotted out on holiday in Turkey with builder Charles Drury. Their relationship started after they followed each other on Instagram.
The problem here was that she was already engaged to Kris Boyson. It was later reported that she savagely dumped him via text.
A source at the time said: “‘When it was all over the papers Katie realised she needed to dump Kris and did it by text.”
After claims of Katie cheating came to light, Kris was seen throwing Katie’s belongings out of his house, including her clothes and some kids’ toys.
During that same holiday, Katie’s problems went from bad to worse when she damaged her latest boob job after a drunken night out.
Speaking to The Sun, a friend said: “Katie woke up in so much pain after her big night out and thinks she’s pulled one or two stitches out of the scar from her recent boob reduction surgery.
“‘She doesn’t know if she did it in the club or in bed with Charles at night because she was so drunk.”

This is not Katie's first run in with the law. Here we break down the former glamour model's past court appearances.
2010: Katie was issued a six-month driving ban for speeding and using her phone while driving.
2015: The star receives a £1,220 fine for jumping a red light.
2018: She was slapped with a six-month driving ban in February 2018.
Katie is in jail for 13 hours for being found asleep behind the wheel of her car.
2019: A year later the star is issued with her third driving ban, for three months. She is declared bankrupt for the first time.
2021: Katie crashes her car while under the influence of alcohol and drugs and suffers a breakdown.
2022: Katie is sentenced to an 18-month community order with 150 hours of community service for driving matters. She pleads guilty to breaching a restraining order and is ordered to pay £1500.
2024:
March – She is declared bankrupt a second time.
APRIL – The star is warned she risks jail after failing to appear in court.
JULY – An arrest warrant is issued after she again swerves court.
Broken feet
Katie and her ex, Carl Woods, 35, enjoyed many holidays together during their two-year relationship.
But one she would probably like to forget is their first-ever getaway when she broke her feet in Turkey after a horror accident in 2020.
She became wheelchair-bound after falling 20ft and had to have surgery. She even feared she would be paralysed as doctors told her the injury was one of the worst they had ever seen.
Speaking later, she said: “I was pretending to be a horse. I jumped over the bush, it was dark, I didn’t know there was a 20-foot drop into an underground car park.”
She also said that her feet were full of scars and screws after breaking her bones.
Food poisoning
In 2022, Katie was said to be very ill with suspected food poisoning while on holiday with Carl in Thailand.
She flew off to the destination after a speeding ticket charge against her was dropped.
Describing her situation, a source said: “She has been throwing up and feeling poorly.
“Katie could possibly have got food poisoning, although she’s trying to not let it affect her holiday and time with Carl. She is slowly on the mend.”
Missing pet
Even Katie’s 2022 staycation with Carl, at Sandbanks in Dorset, did not go according to plan. She was left “devastated” when her pet chihuahua, Captain, went missing, sparking a frantic search.
A source told The Sun: “Katie was in bits. She thought Captain would be fine off his lead as they were staying on a friend’s private property which was very secure but he managed to run off.
“They couldn’t find him anywhere and everyone was looking.”
Fortunately, Captain was found after eight hours. He was with a local vet who had been able to identify him using his microchip.
Katie has not been very lucky when it comes to being a pet owner. Her Alsatian, Sparkle, was killed by a car after venturing off into a busy road in 2020.
Another pet, Queenie, was run over by a pizza delivery van. Her daughter’s puppy also suffocated to death after being crushed into an electric armchair. A horse was also killed in an accident.
A petition which was launched to ban Katie from owning pets received 21,000 signatures.
Harvey’s head smash
Last year, her family holiday to Devon turned into a “nightmare” after her son, Harvey, smashed his head through a car window.
Katie said Harvey, who was diagnosed with septo-optic dysplasia and is also autistic, lost control after his ears popped while they were on the motorway.
She explained: “On the way back Harvey decides his ears keep popping and what happens? The kids are all in the back and he decides to headbutt the window of the car – popped out the window – we are on the motorway – glass shattered everywhere.
“The kids’ faces looked like a murder scene.”
Katie has previously spoken about how Harvey had become more aggressive as he grew and got stronger. She also admitted that she may need more help with him.
Ski imbalance
Earlier this year, Katie opened up about being left in tears during a romantic Bulgarian ski trip with her boyfriend, JJ Slater, 31.
She said she couldn’t maintain her balance due to her massive breast and bum implants.
When Katie was asked about the last time she cried, she admitted: “Skiing – because I f***ing can’t ski, and I tell you what, argh, I looked like a could ski, I had all the gear and no idea.
“Trying to get up with my bum filler and t**s, as well as my body, when I’d fall over, trying to get my feet out of the skis and then lifting myself back up, I was literally like ‘I f***ing hate this, I hate skiing'”.
She added: “I’m like ‘I’m such a fat f***, I can’t even get up on these skis – my t***, I’m pulling, then it’s my a***'”.
