Power cuts in Limassol, Nicosia

Electricity cuts in Limassol and Nicosia on Friday morning are due to a fault and routine maintenance, electricity authority (EAC) spokeswoman Christina Papadopoulou said.

The power outage in the Limassol areas of Prophitis Ilias, Moni and Sykopetra are due to a fault which crews are working to repair and power should be restored before noon she said.

Power cuts in areas of Nicosia, including Kokkinotrimithia and Lakatamia are programmed due to necessary maintenance works and system upgrades, she said.

They will be intermittent from 8am to 10am and residents had been given a 48-hour warning via the EAC’s mobile app, she said.
