Families are saving as much as £600 on their Disney holidays due to little-known hack
A TRIP to Disneyland Paris is on many families’ bucket lists, but with short breaks for a family of four costing upwards of £2000, the magic of Disney can come with a high price tag.
But savvy Brits are using an easy hack to save 20 per cent off hotel and ticket packages – and saving hundreds in the process.
By signing up to Disney Plus – a popular streaming service that’s home to Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and more – users can unlock the discount that can be used until the end of September.
One Disney fan who has taken advantage of this offer is Bernie Whitehead who saved £400 on her September trip.
“I booked in April 2024 for me, my husband and daughter for a September three nights break with tickets for four days,” she told Sun Travel.
“We paid £2,262 for the hotel and park tickets as well as add-ons, such as breakfast each day and a special dinner with the characters.
“I heard about the deal after I’d booked and assumed I had missed out but decided to call to check.
“Disney were great on the phone and explained the offer and I was able to rebook before cancelling my original booking and I was delighted that we’d saved almost £400.
“Our add-ons are still included and the whole process was really easy.”
The basic Disney Plus subscription costs only £4.99 per month, so families can sign up to take advantage of the discount and cancel once they’ve booked.
Claire Reeve also took advantage of the deal and was delighted to save almost £600 – the perfect start to her first trip.
“I booked a package at the Sequoia Lodge hotel for my daughter’s 21st birthday and spent £2,499 on the trip,” she said.
“We’ve been Disney Plus subscribers since it launched so when I noticed the offer I rebooked our trip and cancelled the original.
“The cost has now dropped to around £1,718 which is amazing and still includes a princess breakfast, photo pass and a private area for fireworks. We go in August and can’t wait.”
To qualify for the discount, you must be logged into your Disney Plus account when checking out – and the discount will automatically be applied.
The offer works on all packages but excludes the Disneyland Hotel which is located at the entrance to the park.

When does Disneyland Paris open?
Disneyland Paris is open seven days a week. The park opens from 9:30am until 10pm each day. The park is open every day of the year.
How do I get to Disneyland Paris?
An easy way of getting to the park is by car, by travelling through the Eurotunnel or by ferry to Calais.
Paris can be reached from London via the Eurostar, with trains connecting from there to the park.
Flights to Paris also lead on to connecting travel to Disneyland.
How much does Disneyland Paris cost?
A full range of different tickets are available for Disneyland Paris to suit your needs.
You can choose which day you want to visit the park specifically and these tickets start from £60 for one park.
If you want to visit two parks then tickets start from £83.
If you know you want to visit the park for more than one day then you can choose up to four day tickets.
To go for four days it will set you back £219 each person.
If you aren’t completely sure what date you want to go then you can purchased a one day undated ticket.
This will cost £97.21 for over 12s or £89.81 for children.

Laura Tallentire also managed to save £500 on her upcoming trip.
“I saw the 20 per cent deal after I’d booked a package at Newport Bay hotel, which I chose to get some Disney perks.
“When I saw the offer, I phoned Disney and they refunded me £500. I am also eligible for the Blue Light 5 per cent discount, so they took that off as well.”
Another fan who saved big by calling Disney was Catherine Russell.
“We are going in September and had booked in the middle of June. I found out about the deal from a Facebook group and even though our Disney Plus account is in my husband’s name and the holiday was booked under mine, I decided to give them a call.
“It took around 10 minutes and the customer service adviser was great. We ended up saving £347 so we’re very pleased with that.”
There’s even a double discount available for some guests as Disneyland Paris offered a free year’s subscription to the Disney Plus steaming service last year an incentive to book.
Guests who took advantage of that deal still qualify for the new discount with their free subscription.
