Asda shoppers rush to buy retro Cadbury Christmas favourite back on shelves – they’re all saying the same thing
ASDA shoppers are rushing to buy a favourite Christmas chocolate which is now back on the shelves of the supermarket.
A customer said Cadbury Puds are now available at Asda days after finding Mint Maltesers Reindeers and mince pies on sale.
The eagle-eyed shopper took a photo of the typical Christmas treat on sale at the major supermarket and shared it on the Newfoodsuk Facebook page, writing: “Cadbury Puds are back and now available at Asda!!”
The chocolate, which has a truffle centre, hazelnut pieces and crunchy puffed rice pieces, costs 60p per piece at Asda.
It is also sold as a multi-pack with five puds in it, priced at £2.
Each pud has 197kcal and is described as “the perfect festive Christmas stocking filler” by Cadbury.
After the shopper shared a photo of the items on the shelves of Asda, many people were surprised and pointed out it’s still too early for Christmas.
One wrote: “I love them but it’s only just August.”
Another commented: “Should be a law against Christmas treats in summer time.”
A third said: “Love these but far too early. Christmas is one day. No half a year.”
Someone joked: “And Easter eggs are out next week.”
But others were excited that the item is back at the supermarket as one wrote: “Omg I love these xx”
A shopper added: “That’s me putting on 3 stone before holiday.”
We’ve checked Asda’s website and it shows that Cadbury Puds are also available to order online, both as single items and as multi-packs.
They are also in stock at Tesco and on the official Cadbury website, where they cost 75p each – 15p more than at Asda.
It comes just days after the shopper found Mint Maltesers Reindeers on sale at Asda and shared a photo on the food reviewing page.
The festive treat, which is manufactured by Mars and comes in a single pack, costs 55p at the supermarket.
A single chocolate reindeer, weighing 29g, has 157kcal.
Many customers commented on the social media post with one saying: “Already?!!”
One agreed, adding: “Gets earlier every year I swear.”
Earlier this week, the shopper also found mince pies at Morrisons and while many were surprised, others seemed excited.
A person commented: “These are the only mince pies I eat they are delicious you know Christmas is on its way when they bring these bad boys out.”
Another added: “These are so LUSH. One is never enough with a cuppa tea.”

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
Days ago, the admin of the Facebook page also spotted tubs of Celebrations and Quality Street at their local Morrisons.
The anonymous food blogger posted on the page: “Spotted today at Morrisons! Holidays are coming!”
Foodies took to the post to poke fun at the retailer’s decision to stock the festive treats.
One said: “5 months lol”, while another welcomed the decision: “Well it has felt like that with today’s weather!”
A different user chimed in to agree: “Might as well start preparing for Christmas. This summer been sh***.”
