Love Island’s Lochan snubs girlfriend Whitney just hours after public row and split rumours
LOVE Island star Lochan Nowacki appeared to snub his girlfriend Whitney Adebayo on social media – following their public spat.
It comes after the pair sparked split rumours after they unfollowed each other on Instagram and were caught “in the middle of a huge row” at the National Reality TV Awards on Wednesday night.
The pair did not address the outburst at the ceremony at Porchester Hall in London and instead took to social media to share snaps from the event.
Whitney, 26, posted a photo of them together at awards and within the same hour Lochan, 27, shared a solo photo of himself at the event – excluding his girlfriend from the post.
Lochan also failed to re-share her post on his account.
He also didn’t add a caption his post, which has left fans speculating that the pair have called it quits.
One fan: “Lochan posting only himself from an event he attended with Whitney with NO CAPTION ??? There’s definitely fire on the mountain yall.”
A second posted: “I am just here stressing saw whit pic and you in the second slide but she’s not in yours.”
A third said: “No caption, hope the breakup rumor is not true, please rescue us from this suspense.”
This fan pointed out: “Congratulations Lochan. I will never understand why this Love Island girls like setting up their partners up for drags by unfollowing them? Even the ones that claim to be mature are also behaving like teenagers. Must we know when you guys are quarrelling? What happened to privacy?”
They walked the red carpet together and Lochan, 25, later picked up the Best Male Personality award on the night.
But a fellow guest at the awards told MailOnline: “Whitney and Lochan certainly didn’t look happy at the National Reality TV Awards last night.
“It was surprising to see, considering they were among their co-stars and are usually very laidback but it was clear they were in the middle of a huge row.
But the couple, who met on Love Island last year, failed to post any photos together on social media.
Whitney, 26, has also wiped a selection of photos of the couple from her grid – and they’ve unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The pair met last year when he joined Love Island as a late bombshell and they made it to the final.
They were the favourites to win, but narrowly missed out to Jess Harding and Sammy Root, who split shortly after leaving the villa.
The source added: “They have been arguing a lot lately, with their romance hanging by a thread.
“Whitney has deleted recent pictures of her and Lochan too, with some friends saying there is no way back for them to have a long-lasting relationship.”
Love Island fans earlier hit out at show favourite Whitney and her man Lochan and accused them of faking their split as a publicity stunt, after spotting them on the red carpet at the awards.
One took to Reddit to write: “Wish them all the best but this reeks of a publicity stunt.”
A second put: “These two always gave pr relationship anyways,” as a third agreed: “They’re hilarious if this is a publicity stunt.”
Another mused: “Maybe she saw the interest in Shaq and Tanya when they unfollowed and deleted.”
This person added: “It’s a publicity stunt they’re literally together right now at the awards.”
The Camden-born reality star posted a life update video on YouTube, and answered some of the most pressing questions about her life post-villa.
The social media star, who boasts over 1 million followers across her social media accounts, told fans on YouTube the pair were considering moving in together.
She told the video: “I would live with Lochan, but I am torn because Lochan lives with his friends.”
She continued: “Him and his friends are going to get a place for themselves for a year.
“And then the following year it’s ideal that we’ll move in together.”
The content creator said: “Half of me wants to [move in], but the Christian in me is like ‘Why are you living with a guy that you’re not married to? What are you doing? You don’t need no trial.’ “
