Entitled neighbour ‘reserved’ parking outside someone else’s house… he thinks he owns the street but I’ll get revenge
A HOMEOWNER has complained that their “entitled” neighbour allegedly tried to “reserve” a parking space that wasn’t even outside his house.
The fuming resident claimed he was forced to park elsewhere, apparently leaving him at risk of theft.
Sharing his frustrations on Reddit, the social media user complained that his neighbour had started behaving selfishly after purchasing a new motor.
Posting in the “neighbours from hell” thread, he claimed: “This guy in the house across the street from me got a new car the other week, and has started putting traffic cones up in the street to reserve a spot to park it.
“This isn’t even the space in front of his house because another one of his cars is parked there
“It’s a space in between his house and the house next to him.
“This causes more people from his side of the street to park on my side, and because I get home late most of the time, I’ll have to park around the block, which worries me because there are lots of car break-ins in my area.”
He even said that he had called the police since he was uncertain over whether or not it was legal to block off a publicly available space with traffic cones.
However, he allegedly received no response and no action has been taken.
The frustrated homeowner added: “I don’t want to move the cones myself because the guy is a dirtbag and I know he will retaliate.”
The comments section was quick to reassure him that he was in the right and recommend some possible revenge methods.
One wrote: “Hey free traffic cones.
“Next day – Hey more free traffic cones.
“Repeat until you have enough cones to build a castle or he runs out of cones.”
Another suggested: “Buy more cones and put them all up and down the street so no one can park.
“Then the cops or other neighbours might do something about it.”
It comes after one driver was charged £11,000 for parking after being barraged with fines over a “five-minute rule” at her local car park.
