Scotch & Soda Men’s Captures Upbeat Expression for Summer 2025

The brand, Scotch & Soda’s menswear designers told Fairchild Studios, is ever evolving but always keeps a “strong focus on innovation and collaboration. We want people to discover how Scotch & Soda is here to enhance their wardrobe with pieces that are both contemporary and eclectic.”

For summer 2025, Scotch & Soda’s menswear projects its eclectic and adventurous spirit with a collection featuring classic styles and playful twists. The design team has tapped into the demand for utility and craft details, interesting textures such as summer suede, 3D knitwear and relaxed denim. Key items include essentials like structured knit polos, graphic Ts, textured short- and long-sleeve wovens, collegiate-inspired American classic button-downs and utility pants.

Ahead of Chicago Collective, where Scotch & Soda will be in attendance with licensee and distribution partner United Legwear & Apparel Co. (ULAC), the brand’s menswear designers talked to Fairchild Studios about the summer 2025 menswear collection, key trends for the season and sharing the power of self-expression with consumers.

Fairchild Studios: How would you describe the Scotch & Soda brand, specifically for the men’s division?

Scotch & Soda’s men’s collection is characterized by its eclectic and adventurous spirit, blending classic styles with playful twists. Our menswear is known for its attention to detail, unique prints, and high-quality fabrics. The designers often incorporate a mix of vintage aesthetics and contemporary fashion, resulting in versatile pieces that are both stylish and comfortable. Key items include tailored elements, bold patterns and unexpected details.

Fairchild Studios: How would you describe the Scotch & Soda menswear consumer?

The Scotch & Soda menswear consumer is typically a fashion-forward individual who values uniqueness and quality. They are often urban professionals and creatives in their 20s to 40s, with a keen interest in developing their personal style.

He is looking for pieces that stand out and yet remain versatile enough for various occasions. They appreciate the brand’s designs, attention to detail, allowing them to express their unique individuality.

Fairchild Studios: What key menswear trends are you predicting to take off for the summer 2025 season?

For the upcoming Scotch & Soda summer 2025 season, key menswear trends include:

• Bold Patterns and Prints: Expect to see a resurgence of vibrant, eye- catching patterns in union with beach stripes and patterns.
• Lightweight Fabrics: Linen, cotton blends, and other breathable materials for their comfort in warm weather.
• Relaxed Silhouettes: A shift towards more relaxed and oversized fits, offering both comfort and a contemporary aesthetic.
• Pastel and Earth Tones: Soft pastel colors alongside earthy hues like negroni red, sage, and blues will dominate the color palette.

The spring/summer 2025 collection embraces the temptation of weekend getaways and summer staycations. The collection is the perfect companion for escaping the city heat, whether you’re heading from New York City to Montauk or from Amsterdam city to the beach. We celebrate the joy of arriving at the coast, weaving through charming coastal towns. The spring-summer 2025 collection embraces summer and is designed to bring an elevated style to your coastal adventures, or your next city escape.

Fairchild Studios: Can you take us through some of the hero pieces from the collection that you will be showing at Chicago Collective?

Key pieces for the spring-summer 2025 season include modern tailoring, polos in a variety of textures and silhouettes, stand-out and detailed knitwear, foundational denim, and the unique Scotch & Soda play on textures and colors.

This season exemplifies Scotch & Soda’s power of self-expression through its bold use of patterns, colors and designs. Each piece is crafted to enable the wearer to highlight their individuality and creative spirit. The collection encourages mixing and matching, allowing consumers to create unique looks that reflect their personal style.   

In 2023, United Legwear & Apparel Co. (ULAC) entered into a partnership with Bluestar Alliance on the Scotch & Soda brand in menswear and men’s accessories. The ULAC team will be showing Scotch & Soda’s summer 2025 menswear collections along with a full range of men’s accessories, including underwear, headwear, and socks, in Booth 7082.
