The artist, 43, turned DJ played a series of his top hits from Fill Me In to Rewind on his iconic TS5 set as the crowd danced alongside him in a neon-lit laundry room.

Craig set out in collaboration with Persil research found that out of 2,000 adults 25-34-year-olds are hustling to get tasks done quickly in the hours before and after their day job.

33 per cent of all respondents even said they feel they spend too much time doing their laundry to combat this Persil created The Wonder Wash.

Craig who teamed with Persil, said: “I’ve performed in some wild locations, but never a launderette – get that washing in, 15 minutes, play the set and bop bop bop.

“I’m definitely an evening person rather than a morning person, my morning routine is to get up, drink water – and have a shower – and it’s in the shower where my inspiration comes.

“If I had an extra 15 minutes, I would use it just take time to myself, our time is the best currency we have, it’s so important.

“I’ve loved performing at the Fast Wash and Rave – the crowd was brilliant, it smelt great.”

Nathan Palmer, spokesperson for Unilever, added: “It has been a real pleasure working with Craig David to reward these hustlers with a once in a lifetime experience.”

As a fresh-faced teenager, Craig David burst onto the scene and scored a No. 1 single with his debut song.

After achieving huge success, the singer went away for a while before having a massive comeback.

Craig went onto have a huge success after this, until he stepped away from limelight in the mid-noughties.

He moved to Miami and then returned to the music scene in 2016.

Back in February he appeared on the ITV2 reality show Love Island: All Stars alongside Wes Nelson as they performed their song Abracadabra.

The singer achieved a top 20 single for the first time in a decade with his song, When The Bassline Drops – a collaboration with MC Big Narstie.

This tune cemented his comeback, and he has continued to release music again ever since.
