Utilities shut off to fix water main break in SE Topeka

TOPEKA (KSNT) - The City of Topeka issued an urgent alert for a water main break in southeast Topeka Friday morning.

Around 8:15 a.m. on August 2, the City of Topeka Utility Department shared an urgent alert for a water main break in the 2000 block of SE 29th Street. As of the time of the alert, crews were onsite working on the main.

Water Distribution Manager Jermel Walker said residents in the area will be without water starting around 8:30 a.m. Water services will be shut off until the repair is complete.
