Participating restaurants for Troy's annual Pig Out

Downtown Troy's 18th annual Pig Out is set for August 18 from noon to 5 p.m. The event features barbecue vendors around downtown Troy with samples from $4 to $5 each, live music, and a hot dog eating contest.

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Downtown Troy's 18th annual Pig Out is set for August 18 from noon to 5 p.m. The event features barbecue vendors with samples from $4 to $5, live music, and a hot dog eating contest.

This year, there will be two rounds of the hot dog eating contest at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the main stage at 5th and Broadway. The contest is sponsored by Famous Lunch. You can sign up to participate on the Downtown Troy website.

Non-downtown Troy restaurants can be found throughout downtown from Monument Square to Broadway. After sampling, attendees can vote for their favorite barbecue in the city.

Live music featured at Pig Out include Vintri Hill, Kristian Montgomery & the Winterkill Band, and Pogo Duo. Troy Pig Out is presented by the Downtown Troy Business Improvement District.
