Applications now open for Six Flags Fright Fest

Six Flags Great Escape is now hiring for its annual Fright Fest.

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Six Flags Great Escape is now hiring for its annual Fright Fest. The positions available are scare actors, dancers, performers, haunted house gatekeepers, and trick-or-treat trail.

Anyone interested in applying should do so on the Six Flags website. Applicants should bring two forms of identification to prove their identity and eligibility to work in the U.S., account information for setting up direct deposit, and, for minors, working papers.

Those 14 and older looking for a first job would fit well with the trick-or-treat trail position. It has daytime weekend hours and social interaction.

All other jobs require applicants to be 16 years or older. Ages 16 and 17 require a child performer permit to become a scare actor, dancer, or performer. Makeup artists must be at least 18 years old.

Positions start at or above $15.25 an hour and many of them do not require prior experience. There are employee benefits like free park admission, paid training, flexible work hours, and exclusive team member events.

In-person interviews and auditions will take place at the Human Resources Building at Six Flags Great Escape at 33 Round Pond Road in Queensbury. After applying, auditions for scare actors will take place on August 4 as well as September 10, 15, and 17. Dancer and performer auditions will take place on August 13.
