COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Warm and humid summer weather will continue for another day with scattered showers and storms later. Temperatures will be cooler compared to recent days due to persistent cloudiness, in the low to mid-80s.

An upper-level disturbance and cold front will arrive this evening, accompanied by a few showers and storms. Any storm can contain cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds and short downpours. Morning readings will dip into the upper 60s, with some patchy fog.

The weather will improve this weekend with the passage of the cold front that will lower the humidity. A stray shower or storms is possible Saturday across the southeast, before the front pushes past the Ohio River. Temperatures will warm into the mid-80s.

Dry and rather warm conditions will return Sunday and Monday, with high pressure building in. High temperatures will approach 90 degrees, along with moderate humidity levels. The next chance for a few storms will come on Tuesday ahead of a cold front, followed by dry and seasonably warm weather the rest of next week.
