My clever hack will make your kiddie pool water warm – you don’t have to fill it up from the sink bucket by bucket

STAYING cool is on virtually everyone’s agenda, but few want to step into cold waters.

One person has figured out a way to keep their kiddie pool at the perfect temperature.

Redditor Gimpyface shared their go-to method for getting the climate just right for all.

They asked other users on the platform if they needed advice on efficiently filling a child’s pool with warm water.

“Use a bucket to connect your hot tap to the hose,” they said.

“Once you get the water flowing through the hose gravity does the rest.”

HOW IT WORKS

The bucket with the water creates a siphoning effect, creating a lasting flow of water to the pool.

Granted that the pool is located somewhere lower than the sink, the water should go directly into it from the bucket due to the gravitational pull.

One Redditor chimed in to retort concerns of water waste.

“It’s a kids’ pool lol. Probably like 50 gallons and it’s mixed with cold water,” they said.

The original poster replied, saying it saved them time and water.

“Yep, this is literally to save multiple trips with the bucket to get the chill off the tap water,” they wrote back.

Another Redditor gave their own extra tip for their kiddie pool days.

“I get a few long hoses and put a sprayer attachment at the end,” they said.

“Fill the hose line with water and let it sit in the sun. [It] fills out [a] 14-foot-by-four-foot kids’ pool just fine with warm water.”

Another recommended purchasing an attachment for the sink to make the process simpler.

However, one Redditor said while that could work, the siphon method is great for easy access.

“It is much easier to do that if you already have the equipment and know what you are doing,” they said.

They added that they don’t have children of their own, but can still see the simplicity in the hack.

“I imagine the siphon trick is better than having to pack the kids up and go to the hardware store, find the part, get Teflon tape, and then have the know-how to install it without cross-threading it.”

Another Redditor asked why they’d need warm water in the summer time.

“Still cold where I live, sunny enough that there’s a two-hour sweet spot around midday where a paddling pool is fun for kids,” they said.
