August is for partying
Technically, August on the island is for beach lounging and laying horizontal to beat the unbearable heat. As the island enters its unofficial-official holiday period, the cities empty and the beaches fill up. Along with the crowds, many of the events move to the seaside as well and next month, three exciting parties with DJs from Cyprus and abroad are coming to the hottest part of the country – Protaras.
Returning for its second event of the summer is Music Element which will once again take over Ayia Triada beach to transform it into an epic ground for electronic music. The event has grown from a party to a sought-after one-day festival, running from the afternoon until the evening. A line-up of hot DJs will take over its large stage from 5.30pm playing funky electronic dance and techno music while drinks bar and food stalls keep festival-goers happy. The event is popular among islanders and visitors of all ages and is renowned for its impressive lights show and fireworks. Mark the date for August 15.
An extended event, part of Music Element, will continue the music vibes at Ayia Triada on August 17 as well. Swiss DJ duo Adriatique will take over the decks. The two have held performances at prime clubs and festivals around the world. In Cyprus, they will perform alongside Yet More and Marcos.
On the last evening of August, Nava Seaside will host The Ibiza Carnival, offering a party dose inspired by the Spanish party island. A line-up of DJs is set to perform, including DJ SKT, Weiss, Billie Clements, George Kafetzis, Rue Jay, Moses Moiseos, Georgeos and Christy B2B Nonis so get ready to party.
