Utica-Rome Speedway Racing Program for August 2 Canceled Due to Rain

VERNON, NY – Racing at Utica-Rome Speedway for Friday, August 2 has been canceled due to rain.

A forecast of precipitation throughout the late afternoon and evening hours led the speedway management making the decision to cancel the scheduled program presented by Zielinski’s Asphalt and the Friendly Family of Dealerships to include all weekly divisions and CRSA Sprint Cars.

The CRSA Sprint Cars will return to the Home of Heroes on Sept. 27 during the Short Track SuperNationals.

Racing resumes next Friday, August 9 with Twin 20s for the 3 Bastards Brewing Modifieds paying $2,000 to win each plus Taylor’s Trailers Crate 602 Sportsman, Next Generation GraphiX Pro Stocks, Fastline Performance Limited Sportsman and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders presented by Algonkin Motel and Slade Automotive.

A Kids Backpack Giveaway will also take place.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Hot laps take place at 6:45 p.m. Racing begins at 7:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $22 (Adults), $20 (Seniors ages 65 and up) and Kids 11 and under are FREE.

Pit admission is $40 (Non-Members), $35 (Members), $10 Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 Children ages 5 and under.
