Waverly man charged with Ulster Park burglary

The Ulster County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a 36-year-old man from Waverly following a burglary investigation.

ULSTER PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Ulster County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a 36-year-old man from Waverly following a burglary investigation. The man, whose name has not been released, is facing several charges.

On July 22, detectives responded to a home on Broadway in Ulster Park following a report of a burglary. The ensuing investigation determined that the Waverly man allegedly entered the house without permission and stole property from the victim.

Further investigation resulted in the Waverly man being identified as a suspect and deputies took him into custody on July 26 with assistance from the City of Kingston Police Department. He now faces the following charges:

  • Second-degree burglary
  • Third-degree criminal mischief
  • Petit larceny

The man was arraigned at the Ulster County Centralized Arraignment Part Court before being remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Esopus Court at a later date.
