Tottenham 4-3 Team K-League
Tottenham played out an entertaining thriller against a team consisting of the best players across the K-League, with the Lilywhites emerging 4-3 winners at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
Local hero, Son Heung-min netted a brace while Dejan Kulusevski and Will Lankshear were the other two goalscorers for the Premier League side.
While the Tottenham side boasted some big-name stars, the likes of which the K-League players might not have faced in their careers, it was a relatively lower-profile name that seemingly caught their eye.
Emerson Royal impressed Team K-League
Emerson Royal played as a centre-back in the absence of the likes of Cristian Romero and Mickly van de Ven, and it turns out that the Brazilian’s display had impressed many of his opponents.
This was admitted by FC Seoul right-back Choi Jun, who revealed that he and many of his teammates were impressed with Emerson’s defensive skills on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old told Four Four Two about the Tottenham defender: “I knew about him, but after seeing him today, I thought, ‘He’s definitely really good at defence’.
“Not only me, but all the players said the same thing.”
