Scheana Shay Claims Candace Cameron Bure 'Wasn't Very Nice' When They Met

Scheana Shay is looking back at an alleged unpleasant experience with Candace Cameron Bure.

During the Friday (August 2) episode of her Scheananigans podcast, the 39-year-old Vanderpump Rules star claimed that the 48-year-old Fuller House actress was “dismissive” towards her when they met over a decade ago.

Keep reading to find out more…“But I do remember the first time I met Candace Cameron, she wasn’t very nice,” Scheana claimed. “She was hosting this event with [Lisa Vanderpump‘s daughter] Pandora. It was, maybe, season 2 — it was really early Vanderpump Rules days [in 2013].”

As a fan of Full House, Scheana said that was looking forward to meeting Candace.

“I was really excited to meet her,” Scheana recalled. “She was so dismissive as if I wasn’t cool enough or big enough to be hanging out with her.”

Guest co-host Kiki Monique then joked that Candace didn’t like Scheana because she watched Vanderpump Rules.

“Maybe she did know about me,” Scheana quipped.

She then compared her alleged bad experience with Candace to other run-ins she’s had with celebrities over the years.

“I remember I was so excited to meet her and she was like, ‘Ugh,’” Scheana continued. “I didn’t want to watch Fuller House because of that one experience. And I’ve met so many celebrities in my life and hardly any have stood out to me as rude — but she stood out as one.”

Scheana then said that Kim Kardashan was “so humble” when they met, adding, “Other huge celebrities are so nice.”

Kiki then threw some shade at Candace saying that her behavior was surprising for someone with “Bible verses in their bio.”

Scheana isn’t the first star to speak out about having an alleged bad interaction with Candace. Back in 2022, JoJo Siwa said that Candace was the “rudest celebrity” that she’s ever interacted with and another star claimed that Candace was homophobic on set of Fuller House.
