My 2-step method prevents razor burn on my bikini line post-shave – it sounds insane but people say it’s ‘life changing’

WITH beach and pool days in full force, nothing cramps summer swimsuit style quite like shaving bumps.

One clever woman dished the details on how she keeps her bikini line looking smooth.

Redditor Put-a-bird-on-it shared her process in a comment on the social media platform.

She said although her technique may sound “insane,” it works.

The two-step method is not only simple, but uses things many already have at home.

Other Redditors also backed her up on her post-shaving ritual.

HOW IT’S DONE

She uses a product that people typically apply elsewhere on the body.

“I know this sounds insane, but deodorant,” she said.

She explained that when it comes to cleansing the area, she brings out the big guns.

“I clean the area with alcohol after shaving, and yes it hurts like hell for a second but it passes quickly,” she said.

“Then rub a deodorant stick over the shaved area. No more irritation or bumps at all.”

She admitted that the hack wasn’t her own, having gotten the advice from an exotic dancer.

She also went into more detail of how to get a smooth bikini line every time.

“First, I exfoliate the area with an exfoliating cloth using my regular body wash,” she said.

She shaves using a brand new blade using the lather from the body wash instead of traditional shaving cream.

“When I get out of the shower I pat the area dry and splash 70% isopropyl alcohol on the shaved area. 70% is more effective than the 91% at killing pathogens, which is what we are going for,” she said.

“I bought a small spray bottle in the travel product aisle and filled it with alcohol, and spray the shaved area. It’s just easier in my opinion.”

She uses Dove deodorant, which is sold for $4.66 on Amazon.

Other Redditors gave their two cents on her bikini line approach.

“Same,” one wrote. “Oh my God, her advice literally changed my life haha.”

“I’ll have to try this,” another added. “Now that you say this, I never really get shaving bumps on my pits after shaving.”

“I really, really wish I’d read this before getting ready today,” said a third. “Good tips for the future, though.”

“You just saved my skin, thanks,” yet another gushed.
