China begins observation experiment on land-atmosphere interactions in Mt Everest region
China has launched an observational experiment on land-atmosphere interactions in the Mount Everest region of Tibet to study how land surfaces and the atmosphere interact, which is crucial for understanding ecological and climate systems. The Aerospace Information Research Institute team will use unmanned aerial platforms at a site on Mount Everest's northern side, known as Qomolangma, at around 4,200 meters (15,960 feet) altitude.
