Map shows the route for this weekend’s Brighton Pride parade

Where to see the glorious carnival of colour on Saturday.

The iconic Brighton & Hove Pride festival -one of the country’s most popular LGBTQ+ celebrations – is happening this weekend.

Hundreds of thousands of people are set to descend on the coastal city to enjoy an array of festivities, including live music, comedy, cabaret, a dog show and of course the hugely popular Pride Parade

As always the parade – held today (Saturday) – will be a glorious carnival of colour and fun winding its way through Brighton’s streets, showcasing the city’s charities, community groups, businesses, emergency services and more.

This year’s theme is ‘JOY – Celebrating Life, Spirit and Resilience’.

Here is what you need to know.

When will Brighton & Hove Pride Parade start?

The parade will start 11am on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

Where will Brighton & Hove Pride Parade start?

As the map shows, the Brighton & Hove Pride Parade will start at Hove Lawns and proceed to King’s Road and to West Street.

From there, the parade will move into North Street, then London Road, which is the longest stretch.

Where will Brighton & Hove Pride Parade finish?

The parade will end at Preston Park. The park, meanwhile, will host the two-day We Are Fabuloso music festival, featuring an array of performers including Girls Aloud, Mika, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Gabrielle, Peaches and Fat Tony.

Describing the parade on its website, Brighton & Hove Pride said: ‘It is one of the biggest and brightest events in Brighton & Hove’s events calendar, with over 300,000 people thronging the city’s streets to participate in and watch the parade of community and campaign groups, and the all-singing, all-dancing carnival of colour as it wends its way from Hove Lawns to Preston Park for We Are Fabuloso, the official Brighton & Hove Pride charity fundraiser.’
