Bhumi Pujan of semiconductor assembly and test facility conducted at Jagiroad

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran inaugurated the ground-breaking of India's first indigenous semiconductor assembly and test facility in Jagiroad. The Rs 27,000 crore project, to be operational by mid-2025, is anticipated to generate employment for over 30,000 individuals and boost Assam's industrial landscape.
