VICTORIA Sugden discovers the horrifying truth about Eric Pollard in Emmerdale.

The pensioner has been behind some wicked acts in recent weeks on the ITV soap, including demanding that Victoria be fired from The Hide.

Victoria learns Pollard was behind her sacking from The Hide a few months ago[/caption]

She’s furious, but agrees to drive him to a funeral after his car breaks down[/caption]

In upcoming Emmerdale scenes, Brenda’s shocked to hear it was Pollard who orchestrated Vic’s firing from The Hide and orders him to make amends immediately.

Later, Pollard offers Victoria a job in the shop and she gratefully accepts.

But Brenda’s horrified Pollard gave her a job without coming clean about his involvement in her firing. Will he do the right thing?

After pressure from Brenda and overwhelmed by guilt, Pollard finds himself admitting that he made Jai sack her from the Hide and faces the full force of Vic’s ire for masterminding her sacking and leaving her penniless.

He tries to explain his recent decision-making, but Vic’s too hurt to let it excuse his actions.

As Victoria tries to talk, Aaron’s too preoccupied with someone on his phone to listen properly.

When Aaron tells her how she can use the circumstances of her sacking to her advantage, Vic is left thoughtful.

However, Vic is in for a further shock when she agrees to help Pollard get to an old friend’s funeral after his car breaks down.

Once they arrive at the church Victoria puts her foot in it with a bereaved son at his mum’s funeral. But is stunned his name is John Sugden.

Pollard awkwardly confirms John could actually be her half brother – her dad’s son.

Meanwhile, it’s not long before back in the village Mackenzie receives a call at the garage about a breakdown nearby. He sets off to help.

When Pollard and Victoria return to the village they are surprised to find John – who has broken down – in the village.

Victoria is delighted to see him again. 

But before long John is ruffling a few feathers with his appearance in the village.
