Ham radio enthusiasts played a crucial role in rescue operations following landslides in Wayanad. Operating from the District Collector's office in Kalpetta, they bridged communication gaps. Led by Sabu Mathew and Dr Abraham Jacob, they used a repeater at Ambalavayal Ponmudi Kotta to extend their coverage, facilitating timely rescues.
