Adam Peaty tested for COVID-19 on Monday, July 29, 2024, which has affected his participation in the mixed 4x100m medley relay at the Paris Olympics.
If the team qualifies and Adam recovers sufficiently, he could still make an appearance in the final for Team GB.
For now, James Wilby will step in for him, alongside Kathleen Dawson, Joe Litchfield, and Anna Hopkin.
Adam said in a statement: “I’ll now be focusing on a fast, full recovery to give my best in the team relays later in the week.
